Weekend Bollywood Blast

I am sucker for wedding songs. I love the color, the jewelry, the pageantry and in general the fun atmosphere during Indian weddings.

Today is a dear friend's wedding anniversary, so I thought I would let my readers enjoy this song.

"Saajan ji Ghar aaye" (My beloved has come home for me) from an older 1998 movie "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" starring Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerjee and Salman Khan

Story revolves around a tomboyish college girl who loves a dear friend only to find out that he loves a "feminine, more traditional looking" friend. They meet years later, his wife is dead, she is now totally changed, but also engaged to be married. This song is during her engagement.

  1. That man in the video is Salman Khan, right? Yeah, who doesn't know him, even non-Indians do. Watched his movie Ek Tha Tiger. And I presume the lady is Kajol. A really sweet song. Depicts an Indian woman's happiness at embracing the future, her married life, and be with her husband. And her sadness that she'll leave her previous life and its members behind to move on. I liked it. Enjoy your weekend, DD. =D

(Just one question: What were your thoughts and feelings when you were getting married to your Swami, about having to leave your parents' house to live with your Swami, DD? I'd really appreciate if you could share with me, if you don't mind.)
