Here is one such number from the movie "Agent Vinod" starring Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.
Why I like this song:
- Two pretty women :-)
- Two pretty women dance to please a large group of men, while the men sit back, enjoy and conduct business. I am too shy to do this, but I guess my inner slut lived vicariously through them :-)
- I love the concept of dancing for your man. When I dance for my Swami as I describe here, I do it as a service and as a dedication of my love to him.
- The lyrics are quite suggestive. At 2:02 minutes into the song, the girls sing about "Winning somebody's heart is an expensive proposition, but today I have to sell myself for your sake". I wish the translation had not whitewashed the word "sell" into the word "gift"
- the beautiful dress of the bride shown for a moment at 3:42 minutes into the song. What can I say, I love bridal dresses and jewelry. Ooh the bangles :-)
Same Song performed by a few ladies in Ukraine
Note:
If you view this on an iphone or Apple device, you may not see the link. You may need to watch it in a browser that supports flash. So says my Swami. I have no idea what that means :-)
Aaaaahhhh! I had about 8 different reactions going on in that 5 minutes:
ReplyDelete1./2. Hey, Poo[ja]!
1./2. Gah! 30 seconds in and I love it!
3. This is a way better Bollywood Blast song than the ones I watched earlier today (Daasi, you know what I mean)!
4. I need to watch this movie
5. New weight loss goal: be able dance a sexy dance in a similar blue outfit. Also, sexy sexy!
6. Ooo intruigue...
7. Really?.....REALLY?! They couldn't at least HIDE THE MIC IN A FAUX FLOWER?!?!?!
8. whaaaaa...? SWEET MARIGOLDS! I'm going to watch this movie right now.
And that, my dear is exactly what I am doing with the rest of my Friday night. Thank you!! :D
Wow dear! that was quite a thorough analysis. Did you finally watch the movie?
DeleteI am so glad you enjoyed it!!
I got to Ruby's interrogation about 1/3 through, but then I had to lay down. I'm going to finish it up tonight or tomorrow. It's super hilarious but part of the plot just has me hooked and I don't know why...
DeleteAlso, if you're using youtube videos, they shouldn't be flash. Youtube uses "iframe" which can be viewed on Apple products. If you go to each video's original page it will give you the option to "share" and then in the middle (above the link) click on "EMBED". Yu can copy and paste the resulting code.
Example:
iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ZLVjdYFoDN8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen /iframe
I had to take out the brackets b/c blogger doesn't allow it in the comments, but Swami should get the gist of it. This is the code for Dil Mera.
Here is what my Swami told me. I was using the embed video link in blogger and that generates an old embed code that only supprts flash. Your option supprts both flash and I think he said html5 or something. Gosh I feel so ignorant when it comes to these things. He is not sure if blogger will accept the new code but I will try as it will help many readers. Thank you so much for pointing it out!
DeleteHugs and kisses
Yeah, Blogger is a bit old school when it comes to HTML coding, but I've been really successful whenever I've posted a video on my other blog. Here's what you do:
ReplyDelete-copy the iframe code from YouTube
- in your post there are two tabs. The most common says "visual" or something like that. Directly to the right is a tab that says "HTML". Click on it and paste the iframe code. If you want to have it be centered, just add < center > at the beginning of the iframe code and then < /center > at the end.
- go back into the visual portion and continue writing if more text is required.
-post that pretty pretty video!
You are such a darling! Thanks! I will do that from now on.
